For the 15th time “De Lambikstoempers” organize their yearly BEERWEEKEND. This fifteenth edition traditionally takes place on the last weekend of august, namely Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st August 2014 in “Bezoekerscentrum De Lambiek” in Alsemberg (Beersel). Saturday from 14.00 until 24.00 hour and Sunday from 14.00 until 20.00 hour.

+100 different beers

As in previous years we have tackled the hold, our visitors can choose from more than 100 different beers. We have tried to gather all the different kinds of beer.

Obviously a range Lambic beers (from the basic brew Lambic to Oude Gueuze and Oude Kriek and other fruit beers). These beers are supplied by the “Streekproducten Centrum” at Halle. A large number of exceptional beers we personally get at the brewers. These are beers that are not so familiar to the general public.

This year we opted, after the huge success of previous years, again for our own “LAMBOOSKE”, but we also have bottled the “Lambooske 2013”. So you can taste the difference between a fresh Lambooske and one of 1 year old.

These 100 beers are just a small selection of Belgian beers, Belgium really is the land of beers. You could say that every visitor will find a Belgian beer that will appeal to him / her (from sweet fruity through bitter and acid).

Beers in the spotlight

Since this is our 15th edition, this year we put our own beers in the spotlight:

This year we opted, after the huge success of previous years, again for our own “LAMBOOSKE”, but we also have bottled the “Lambooske 2013”. So you can taste the difference between a fresh Lambooske and one of 1 year old. We also have our Cuvée Lambikstoemper.

Except for the beers in the spotlight, all beers are sold for only 1,50 euro and are served in our own, new made, “Lambikstoempers”-tasting glasses of 15 cl.. By doing so it is possible to taste several of these beers.

   

The hungry ones can buy a local snack at the stand of Geitjesweelde from Gooik or a sandwich. Also this time they are here with their goat cheese, milk ice, pastery, rice pudding and pudding. And as with our previous editions they provide for our Beer weekend an exclusive croque monsieur based on goat cheese, pineapple …

A real succes for the visitors is the Beer tombola: for only a smaal contribution you have the oppotunity to go home with a nice beer price.

Coloring contest: parents can taste at their ease while their children can compete at our coloring contest. They themselves can naturally taste our waters and limonades.
