Pictures: Visit to the old Rodenbach brewery

In 1864 , Edward Willem Rodenbach bought the brewery from mother Regina Wauters and founded the firm Ed Rodenbach-Mergaert. That same year, the new steam brewing hall and malting plant is commissioned. On 24 January 2002, Rodenbach inaugurates its new Mera brewing hall, halting production in the old brewing hall after 138 years.

Twenty-two years later, De Lambikstoempers vzw paid an exclusive visit to that old brewing hall! None other than Belinda Eelbode, guide at Rodenbach Brewery for more than 20 years, guided us around with great pleasure and knowledge on Saturday 20 January 2024 in Roeselare.
