Pictures: Lambikstoempers Diner 2022

As is an annual tradition, De Lambikstoempers go out for a good meal just before their Beer Weekend. For the 2022 edition, we chose the Taverne Diôle (Rue de Condé 62 in 7971 Basècles), attached to Brasserie des Carrières – Diôle in Basècles.

A setting sun, good food, good beer and, to conclude, a proposal from the brewer for a tour of the brewery… it turned out to be a beautiful evening! 😎🌙

Beer weekend 2022 on 27-28 August

Lambikstoempers Bierweekend

YES! It’s allowed again! On Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 august 2022 we are ready again to present you our Lambikstoempers Beer weekend. We are open respectively from 14h to midnight (on Saturday) and from 14h to 20h (on Sunday), at the beer center De Lambiek, Gemeenveldstraat 1 at 1652 Alsemberg (Beersel).

Again you will have the choice out of +100 of different beers, of which the main part are beers of spontaneous fermentation (going from non-carbonated lambic over Oude Geuze, to fruit lambic, Oude Kriek and so on). With this year a spotlight on: 100% Brussels beers!

Besides this you can enjoy tasty snacks, hopefully cosy on the sun terrace or not, while your children play on the bouncy castle or try out our colouring competition. And who knows, you might even win a nice prize in our big beer raffle!

The entrance is FREE!

ATTENTION! The Brusselsesteenweg in Alsemberg (close to ‘De Lambiek’) is closed due to road works coming from the direction of Brussels. Those who come via Halle/Huizingen/Dworp and the Winderickxplein can – despite the works – continue as usual.

Pictures: ‘Guess the barrel’ tasting

‘Barrel Aged’ is quite trendy in the beer world at the moment. We found out for you whether this really is an added value, on Saturday 11 June 2022 in room ‘Rainbow’ (Zennedal) in Buizingen, during our tasting ‘Guess the barrel’.

In a cozy setting we tasted 10 beers that have been aged in whiskey, port, calvados, red wine, sherry, genever or rum casks. Of course, as always, we tasted blind.

Also present: a reporter from Radio 2 Vlaams-Brabant, who made a nice report of our tasting for the Monday morning program ‘Start Je Dag’. And yes, even Don Bosco himself saw, heard and tasted(?) that it was – once again – good!
